Becky and family, I am so sorry to hear of your mothers passing. No one is ever ready for that part of our life. Even when you know it is inevitable, that still does not make it any easier. Mrs. Sartin was always like a second mom to me. She taught me how to make hospital corners on a bed. I used to watch her fix Jimmie and Bills hair every morning with brylcreme before we went to school. I always knew if I needed anything and my mom wasn't around I could go to her. She had a beautiful smile and I remember her laugh being a bit contagious. Prayers and thoughts are with you all.
Becky, Barry and all of Lavoy's family, I didn't know Becky's mom, but I have read a lot about her on FB, in Becky's posting and friend's postings and she sounds like she was a person I would have enjoyed knowing. Dear Becky Bill Shelley and Mimi and grand kids… Holly Hill Kristofferson and Martha Hill send you our love, thoughts and prayers at this sad time. We loved our Aunt Doy very much. Although she always kind of scared us when we were really little because she was so tall. We always treasured our visits to Texas, especially to see and have fun with our cousins and listening to all the adults sitting around the table talking. And so did my sister and I enjoy eating good food…fried okra, fried chicken and pecan pie!. My sister and I are very sad that we won't be there for the service because we would love to see you and give you a big hug….much love from your Yankee cousins. Martha and Holly
