She was the sweetest person I've ever known. So kind, real, and very smart until the end. I only wish I had spent more time with her. But in the limited time we shared together, she touched me. She is a true angel now. I love you grandmom.
There is one to dscribe Ruth which is "love". Ruth loved everyone espcially her family and friends. She was a very gracious lady. Ruth was beautiful both inside and outside. I remember going to her house and I enjoyed not just the meal but her comapny and talking to her. Ruth was always so happy to see everyone. I enjoyed her telling me about her family and growing up in Pittsburg Texas. Ruth had a wonderful smile too! I think the meals tasted so good because of the love coming from Ruth. We could not get Ruth to sit down and eat because she wanted to keep serving everyone else. Ruth had a heart of love from Jesus. I will always love and cherish the memories of Ruth. Ruth and Les were the best in-laws ever to me. Thank you Ruth for showing me how to love unconditionally.
It's tough now, but I keep telling myself I was so lucky to have such a beautiful person as my Mom for so long. Her undying love will always be in my heart, and I will try to carry on her spirit of kindness and generosity for the rest of my life.
Aunt Ruth was the most beautiful woman I have ever known. Her beauty was timeless, and rare. Though she was externally lovely, what shone through was her heart. I remember her as a gentle, loving woman, soft of speech, yet with a wonderful, mischievous sense of humor. She was an example to me of everything feminine and motherly. I have known Ruth since I was a little girl. Ruth was my mother Melba Beacham's best friend. Of course at that time she was Mrs. Nielson to me. As the years past and I grew up, Mrs. Nielson became Ruth, and also my dear friend. She was a link to my past but very much in my present. We exchanged phone calls, letters, and cards over the years. She was always interested in my family. Ruth was so happy to see me when I would drop in from out of state for an unexpected visit. Ruth was such a kind, gentle, beautiful woman. How can I finds the words to express my love for Ruth? She has always been, and will always be one of the most precious people that ever lived! She was a true measure of the Hebrew meaning of her name: companion, friend, and vision of beauty. She was an example of God's grace in the midst of difficult circumstances. She was a precious Mother to me, and a "Mamaw" to my children. Her heart, her arms, and her home were always open, and she never said an unkind word about anyone. I will never forget all the family get togethers, and the many desserts that she prepared to please everyone!
