Sam Tiner's Obituary
Samuel “Sam” Donald Tiner. Sam was born on June 23, 1944 in San Diego, California, the son of Jan Tiner and he passed away on July 31, 2019 while traveling in Germany. He graduated from Harding High School in Oklahoma City in 1962 and from Texas Tech in 1967. He worked for Motorola for 40 years as a Senior Systems Engineer. He was a member of the Plano Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Knights of St. Andrews Emeritus, York Rite, Royal Order of Scotland and Hella Shrine.He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Lynne, his son, William and wife Joanna, grandson Dakota Davis and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his beloved Labs, Mickey and Griff. He was preceded in death by his mother.The visitation will be held at Restland on Friday, August 9, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. at the Memorial Chapel in Restland Funeral Home.For those wishing, memorial contributions may be made to DFW Lab Rescue, Scottish Rite, Shriner’s Hospital or the charity of your choice.
