At the family reunions, one could always be sure to be greeted by Sam. He was always waiting for everyone to show up and sign in. Then catch him around the room visiting family members. Sam was a special sweet man and I am glad I got to know him over the years and get to visit with him and Sherry at their home. Prayers for Sherry and their kids and all the grandkids.
I remember Sam and I taking the bus to the State Fair when I was a youngster. At the time so was he. I can't remember what year it was but had to be early 60's.
