Sandra was a dear friend and is sorely missed. She was the most intelligent woman I have ever met. We would visit about work, family, really anything that was going on in our lives and catch back up with each other as though no days had passed between calls. She was as beautiful on the inside as on the outside. As I watched her family at the funeral it was like a tapestry of memories she had shared. Her family was everything to her. I would call her when my business was done because we enjoyed each other so much we could not have a short conversation. We talked about most everything from moving to their home in East Texas and their garden to Bill gold mining in Alaska, her days at Boeing and her experience while working on the Super Collider but she was just as interested in what was going on in my life. She was not a person to brag, quite the contrary. But I do not know anything in which she did not excel. She was and is a remarkable woman and one that I treasured calling friend. I genuinely love her, and miss that she will not be on the other side of the phone when I call. But I rejoice that she was my friend. Jan Pendleton
