Sandra Jean Elizabeth Phiffer's Obituary
Sandra J. Phiffer, devoted wife and loving mother, was born on March 29, 1936 in Los Angeles, California and passed away December 12, 2016 in Tyler, Texas. She was preceded in death by her son, Richard Mark Phiffer; mother, Virginia Claire Chilson; father, Randal Cooper; sister, Shirley Jackson. Sandra is survived by her husband of 64 years, Billy R. Phiffer; daughters, Diane Lundy, Sharon Duncan and husband, Drue; daughter-in-law, Leslie Keyser; sisters, Virginia Bennett, Patricia Hamilton and Priscilla Gabb; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; many cousins, nieces and nephews. Sandra graduated from Burroughs High School in China Lake, California, and University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Arkansas. She received a Masters of Material Science Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington. She worked for various technical companies with government contracts including the Super Conducting Supercollider. Sandra retired from BAE Systems/Boeing. The visitation for Sandra will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Restland Funeral Home. The funeral service for Sandra will be held at 2:30 PM, Monday, December 19, 2016 in the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
