Sara Carlyle's Obituary
Sara Frances Kickirillo Carlyle was born on May 19,1925 and died November 27,2015. The beloved only child of Frank Kickirillo and Jessie Dial Tate, she was born and raised in Dallas. She attended North Dallas High School and Baylor University. She was a longtime member of Wilshire Baptist Church in Dallas, First Baptist Church in Lake Jackson, Texas, and Ross Avenue Baptist Church in Dallas. She was also a member of the Jane Douglas Chapter of DAR. Her life revolved around her family and her church. A proud Texan, she was also a supporter of the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. Services will be Monday, December 7, 2015 at 3:30 PM at Wilshire Baptist Church, Chapel with private entombment at Restland. Survivors include daughters; Sally Carlyle Meek, Frances Carlyle Jacobs, Roberta Carlyle Polan and husband Ted. Grandchildren; Julie Tate Meek, John Andrew Meek and wife, Jennifer, Francis Alexander Jacobs and wife, Jessica, Caroline Frances Jacobs, Thomas Carlyle Polan and wife, Amanda, William Carlyle Polan and wife, Meagan. Great-grandchildren; John Preston Meek, Oliver Edward Jacobs, and with anticipation of baby girl Polan due March 2016. The family is grateful for the loving, compassionate care of all of Sara’s caregivers over the last eight years, especially New Century Hospice. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Dallas at 4144 N.
