Sara E. Crawford's Obituary
CRAWFORD, SARA ELISABETH 85, of Famers Branch, TX passed away peacefully on July 4, 2010 in Carrollton, TX. She was born on July 11, 1924 in Helena, AR to her parents, Everett Ewart and Mildred Pegues Ewart. Sara was the youngest of 3. She married Elmer Lee Crawford in West Helena, AR on February 6, 1944. They had 1 child. Sara attended SMU and graduated in 1966 with a degree in Business Administration. She was a resident of Farmers Branch, TX for 53 years and was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone Co as a District Manager for 40 years. Sara was a member of Royal Haven Baptist Church, ABWA and the DAR. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading, entertaining her friends and family and teaching Sunday School. Sara will be remembered by her daughter, Ida C. Madison of Carrollton, TX. She is also survived by granddaughters, Sara Marie Madison of Carrollton and Stefanie Leanne Madison of Plano and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer L. Crawford; granddaughter, Stacie Elisabeth Madison; son-in-law, Frank G. Madison; brother, C. David Ewart and sister, Ida Miriam Kummer. Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of life for Sara from 6:00PM – 8:00PM, Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held at 3:00PM, Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Restland Wildwood Chapel with interment following at Restland Memorial Park.
