I cherish memories of Aunt Sarah: full of joy, always pleasant and thoughtful, never cross. Talking with her was a delight, and she always had good advice. A positive role model for me, she made me feel less homesick when I lived with Auntie. Aunt Sarah was so tuned in to everyone's feelings. She was genuine. I admire her devotion to the Lord & her deep love for her family. I miss Aunt Sarah. Our hearts are heavy for the great loss, but we know Aunt Sarah would want us to find comfort in realizing she with the Lord.

I remember the fun times we had as children walking home from school going up Orton Hill and complaining about how high it was. Brady and Richard I know you will miss her and her great laugh. Keep in mind that she is now with aunt Jewell and uncle T. G.,Floyd and Fred.

Our family knows the grief you feel as you mourn the loss of Aunt Sarah. We also know the comfort you have in the realization that she is at home where she was always meant to be–with her Creator & Savior, her Mother and other family members. What a pleasure it was to grow up down the street from Sarah and the entire Slate family. I was blessed to share many a meal and watch many a Cowboy game with them. Sarah and Brady were great influences in my life and I carry with me much of what I gathered from my days with them as I raise my own family today. I consider the Slates as my second family and Sarah was a big part of that. My heart and prayers go out to Brady and the entire family as they greif the loss of this speical wife, mom and grandmother. Though she will be missed I can find peace in knowing that Sarah is receiving her just reward in Heaven today for a life well lived. I could not let this day go by without saying 'thanks' to Sarah for her influence in my life.
