Oh my gosh, Memories by Elvis, how so very appropriate. Scarlette loved Elvis!! I Loved Elvis too but Scarlette was crazy over him. John Lennon one of my favorites too couldn't have said it any better, "before Elvis, there was nothing" how right he was. Memories, I too have all these beautiful Memories resting in the pages of my mind. So may memories of our fun and yes we had hard times together too but we have them. If I were asked to put my memories in a book - I would fill pages in a book just talking about them. We were neighbors but we were like sisters too. Thank God I have the beautiful memories of Scarlette and our children and families together. We shared so much fun together laughing and crying too. All our times together, the memories of our children playing, the fun times at PTA, Scouts and Drill Team, so many precious memories. I remember getting tickled so to speak over something and us just laughing until we thought we couldn't stop. Talk about memories, Thank God I have these memories to share, so many of them in my mind. Scarlette, my dear Friend and Sister, rest in peace. Jesse, your precious children and their families will miss Scarlette but know you are so blessed by God to have the beautiful precious Memories of her. I send my love from not only me and Ron but from my precious family as well. We Love You All. I remember all of the good times we had when the Carey kids and Flanary kids got together when we were neighbors! Those were the days when we all ran together from pretty much sun up till sun down!! We definitely have a lot of great memories together! Scarlette was like a second mom to us! Feel so blessed that we have remained friends with all of you for all of these years!

I remember being a child and loving everything about Scarlette she was fun, she was caring and patient and sometimes all of us kids didn't give her reason to be patient! She used to make us lunch and she would make kool-aid for us and she had these little metal cups in all different colors I used to love that and when I think of being a child and Scarlette I think of those cups we drank from! I think about Casa View and she and my mom being with the PTA. We all did so much together dance, drill team, scouts etc. Scarlette always made sure no one missed out on anything. All of us kids would go collect soda bottles and turn them in so we could go to the drive in movies and Scarlette and our mom would pop corn and pack sodas and off we'd go to the drive in movie on Buckner Blvd sometimes we even made it into the walk in movies! Fun and good memories of Scarlette and her family.
One year when I was turning 16 Scarlette made a sweet 16 corsage it had all this lace and real sugar cubes on it! On the day of my 16th Birthday Scarlette and the kids called and when I answered the phone they played "16 Candles" and everyone took turns telling me happy birthday I wore that corsage proudly and kept it for many years. I loved her big beautiful laugh but I especially loved her big beautiful hair!
Thank goodness we were always able to keep connected via Facebook. Scarlette I love you and your awesome and beautiful family forever and I will miss you I thank God above for bringing you into my family's life and all the memories we were able to make and share back then. Oh! And one more thing,,, Love unconditional love is what Scartlette had for EVERYONE!

I had known Scarlette from the Casa View school days as well as the White Rock Rebels. I was school friends with her daughter Teree. I spent time at the Carey home also enjoyed the sleep overs. She was such a sweet, kind, loving person. Was Thankful to catch up with her and the family again via Facebook. She was so exited that My Grand Daughter was also named Scarlett. Sending prayers to the family.
I remember alot of good things about my grandma, I remember she was very prideful of her family, she spent most of her life participating in her children's lives and encouraging success. I also know when my mom was struggling, my Nana took us in so my mom could get straight..I think my Nana loved me so much that when my mom came back she didn't want to let me go...I'm not the best person to speak on the life of my Nana but one thing I always admired is her unwavering want to support the ppl at their lowest atleast in the family even if they were in the wrong at the time. That quality is rare and usually is accompanied by unconditional love...rest in peace and you will be missed..
