Sharon Kay Wilson's Obituary
With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Sharon Kay Wilson of Dallas, Texas, on December 15, 2025. Born on August 26, 1949, in Amarillo, Texas, Sharon was the beloved daughter of Gene and Vera Wilson. She was preceded in death by her parents and her nephew, John Syllaios.
Sharon is survived by her sister, Teri Syllaios (Thanassis), her niece, Catherine Callahan, two great-nieces, Taylor and Kate Callahan and numerous cousins and friends who cherished her warmth and kindness.
Known for her generous spirit, fun-loving nature, and radiant smile, Sharon brought joy to everyone she met. A devoted animal lover, she fed and cared for many neighborhood stray cats and owned six dogs throughout her adult life. Sharon was also an avid Texas Tech football fan and proud alumna of the university.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. As we say goodbye, family and friends wish to express their heartfelt thanks and deepest gratitude for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers during this difficult time. A special thanks to her hospice caregivers at T Boone Pickens Hospice Center.
Visitors will be received from 1:00pm-2:00pm, December 30, 2025, at Restland Funeral Home, Wildwood Chapel, 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75243 with a Celebration of Life Service 2pm-3pm and graveside immediately following.
A memorial service to celebrate Sharon’s life will be held at a later date. Details will be shared with family and friends. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in her honor to Lone Star Dog Ranch & Rescue Anna, Texas or Stratford Animal Rescue Society, Stratford, Texas.
