Sherry was my best friend and had such a great joy for life and brought so much joy to her family and friends. Her smile and laughter made my day a better day everyday. I thank God that she was my beloved friend and confidante. My heart hurts of her passing. May God bless her family and have some comfort in this difficult time. She made so many people feel welcomed and so many smiles on so many faces. Love you Sherry. My promise I made to you will be carried out every holiday after holiday year by year. Love always Kevin
I have many, many fond memories of my very first niece, Sherry Lynn Grice Butler. At just a few months of age, I baby-sat with her and loved her as my very own child. I took her to the park and rode the swings with her. When my first son, John, was born she was 5 years old. Even then I would baby-sit now and then. She was so special to us ! My son John had a special bond with her, even as adults, and even though distance separated them ! John lives in Birmingham. I now live in Colorado, so rarely did I get to see her. The last time I saw her was when I met her Grand-daughter Jaycee! She was so proud of her and her sons Jason and David! I remember the day she showed me around her house, and how proud she was of how she had painted the door trimmings and walls – a job very well done! I was impressed and told her so ! I knew my niece Sherry, and I knew for certain that she had a soft and tender heart ! That she loved and cared for people – especially her family ! May you R.I.P. Sherry, until the roll is called up yonder and you are resurrected in the first resurrection to meet your Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ ! By the GRACE of our Savior, I pray that you, in that day, may be given a brand new healthy body, free of the pains and sufferings of this world ! May your Spirit cling to Jesus until you receive a new body – "in that day" !! May your children call you "blessed" and prepare to meet you in the Heavenly courts when the Lord also calls them too !
