The Wonderful Memories- Oh, how I remember the days of love, fun and no worries. Debbie and Vicky share my love for Shirley which will never end. There is a special place in my heart for Shirley that no one can ever take away or change. As I heard of the passing of Shirley, I immediately reflected back to several special memories. Debbie, Vicky and me were in the back yard, rolling around on that big wooden wheel that daddy brought home from his work…. How much fun! Typically, we played under the stars where we seem to be in our own liitle world, with no cares outside of just having fun. The source of that fun was Shirley. Another special memory was the dance contest that Shirley thought up in our small living rooom. Again, it was the same cast of characters. WOW- could she dance! Dancing in that small little living room on Estacodo to the tunes of Ray Charles, Jenny C. Riley and the King of Rock and Roll. The next special memory was when Shirley would sneak us out (after daddy went to bed) for late night snacks…. Shirley always made that fun. When we would watch scary movies together, Shirley would disappear, only to reappear crawling down the hallway growling and that's where the scare really came into play. Afterwards, we all laughed and laughed about that, because somehow, even though we were scared, Shirley made it so much fun for us. I am deeply saddened by the passing of Shirley Owens. I'm sure that Shirley is the "life of the party" in Heaven just like she was here on earth. Remember-It's not good-by… It's just "see ya later." We shared so many wonderful times and memories together and I will always have a special place in my heart for Shirley. Sometimes in our lives, people who were once very close, grow apart as different paths are traveled and / or taken for various differnt earthly reasons, none of which will matter when we enter the gates of haven. We will continue to pray for the family in this very difficult time. God bless Shirley Owens! Love, Cheryl Ann
