In Loving Memory of Sotero Relativo Napoles, Jr. February 2, 1955 - July 15, 2026
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sotero Relativo Napoles, Jr., age 71, of Dallas, Texas, who passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 15, 2026, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on February 2, 1955, to Sotero Benito Napoles, Sr. and Gloria Relativo Napoles in Bato, Camarines Sur, Philippines. Sotero married his beloved wife Trinidad Fernandez Napoles on November 11, 1972. He proudly served in the United States Air Force attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant and then served as an enthusiastic car salesman for over 30 years in Dallas. He loved to spend time with his loving family including grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved to visit casinos.
He is preceded in death by his wife Trinidad Fernandez Napoles, and brothers Jose Relativo Napoles and Vicente Relativo Napoles. He is survived by his daughters Gloria Napoles Mata and husband Anthony Mata, Mary Grace Napoles Vargas and husband Beto Vargas; sons, Henry Napoles and wife Desiree Lawrence Napoles, and Gerald Napoles and wife Donna Napoles; siblings Gloria Napoles Yabut, Corazon Napoles Sesno, Jesus Relativo Napoles, Greg Relativo Napoles, and Penafrancia Napoles Orbita; grandchildren, Christopher Mata, Michael Mata and Angelica Avila, Jonathan Mata, Christana Mata and Aolani Pak, Joseph Mata and Alysha Pyatt, Laila Napoles, and Luke Napoles; and great grandchildren, Jaylin Avila, Romeo Lugo, Aaliyah Mata, Nevaeh Mata, and Zoey Mata.
Visitation will be held at Restland Funeral Home from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, July 31st. Funeral services will be held at Restland Memorial Chapel on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at the Court of Good Shepherd at Restland Cemetery.
Sotero’s legacy of kindness, generosity and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
