Around 1976 Stan took me completely green after finishing Electronics Technician school. He paid me a decent wage and taught more about electronics that I learned at school. I always had great respect for Stan. .Unfortunately I don't think he felt as warmly about me as I did him. I worked at Dallas Instruments for about 1.5 years. Unfortunately I lived in southwest Dallas and had to drive right thru the middle of downtown Dallas twice a day. Then a friend of mine offered me a job about 4 blocks from my house at a highter wage. I wanted to turn him down because I really liked working at Dallas Meter-Tek. ( Except for Jerry Hambright). So I had a talk with Stan and told him I had to leave. He tried to talk me out of it but the driving in my old chevy truck was killing me so I had to quit.
Anyway, I'll always have great respect for Stan and good memories of working for him.
May he rest in peace.
