One more memory of Stan. This picture is of his 5th grade class (Mrs. Peavy) at Daugherty Elementary in Garland. He is the first kid from the left on the front row.
Stan almost came to the Garland High School Class of 1965 reunions. Here is a picture of him at our 50th reunion in 2015. And, he not only came, he always came with a smile on face. A very friendly guy. He will be missed.
I worked with Stan and then later supervised him for a couple of years. Regardless of any challenge, Stan ALWAYS had a smile on his face. I enjoyed seeing and visiting with him occasionally at the letter carriers lunch and yes, he always had that same smile on his face. I believe it was because as a Christian, he knew who’s he was and the way to his eternal home. He will be missed.
Stan and I worked at the Garland Post Office together as city carriers for many years. He seemed to always be in a cheerful mood and was a pleasure to work with. I truly enjoyed getting to know him and so glad that he had a long retirement from the Post Office. He was a fellow Christian so I look forward to someday seeing him again. I know he would want anyone reading this to accept Jesus as their Savior if they haven't already. My sincere condolences to his family. So sorry for your loss.
Many years ago Stan was telling a Sherlock Holmes joke. The punchline was about how the poison was found. "It's alimentary" I found it very funny but nobody else seemed to think it was. I remember that often when I am in a crowd. Someone will get it and that will be enough.
