Stephen C. Jordan's Obituary
Stephen C. Jordan, age 75, passed away on December 10, 2025, in Plano, Texas with Juli by his side. Born in Iowa City, Iowa to Chris and Miriam Jordan he spent his formative years in Brownwood and Houston, Texas. Steve enjoyed Scouting as a youth in Houston, earning the rank of Eagle Scout, and later, as an adult leader, proudly watched is son Travis, earn Eagle Scout as well. The family moved to Dallas where he received a BS from Dallas Baptist University, and he did graduate studies at UNT. Steve was employed at Nortel Networks for 32 years where he was a Sales Engineer. After retirement, he worked as a substitute teacher for GISD.
Steve enjoyed working in the yard and after much hard work became a Master Gardener. He dug and installed 2 koi ponds in the backyard all by himself. He was involved in the Boy Scouts and went on many camp outs and relished every minute. He loved being outdoors and taking pictures of nature and in particular birds and Texas courthouses. He was a member of the Nature Photography Club at the Heard Museum. He also enjoyed watching basketball and attending Dallas Mavericks Basketball games.
Steve and Juli were fortunate to travel to China, Australia, New Zealand, Italy, Alaska, France, Germany, Canada, Israel, Cayman, Bahamas, Hawaii, the Virgin Islands, Mexico, the UK, Scotland, Iceland, the Netherlands, Spain, Holland and many destinations in the US.
Steve was an active member of Saturn Road Church of Christ for over 30 years. He took mission trips to Romania and Africa. He also took several mission trips with the youth during summers and was also involved in the summer reading program at church. He was involved in World Bible School and was on the Saturn Road Mission Committee for several years.
Steve is survived by Juliana, his wife of 53 years, son, Travis and son Christopher and wife, Jessica. Steve also leaves behind his sister, Sharon and brother, Timothy and grandchildren, Tyler, Anna, Cole and Pearl.
He was so very proud of his boys and loved them both very much. Steve has left a void in the lives of family and friends that cannot be filled but we rest assured that we will see him again one day.
