Steve and Joe Hoofnagle and I built a device for blowing a train whistle. When it was finished and ready to blow at a rehearsal a valve was left on so there was not enough air to make a big sound. We took it out refilled the tank and brought it back into the church but the chorus didn't notice. When we started the song and the cue was given for the whistle to blow, we blew it and 150 men dropped to the floor in Surprise and fear. It was a real train whistle and blown at full volume. Steve, Joe and I laughed so hard at the reaction. Many good times with Steve.
