Stephen (Steve) was born in Brooklyn, New York, served our country as a helicopter pilot in Viet Nam, spent his professional life in the securities business throughout the Midwest, and lost his difficult battle with lung cancer at his Addison, Texas home on January 19, 2010. He is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl, as well as stepchildren Garrett Eaton and his wife, Sarah, and grandson, Finnegan, of Chula Vista, California; Kristi Wilkerson and her husband, Weston, of Knoxville, Tennessee. Steve was an accomplished and dedicated professional in every facet of his life, serving others as a director of the Dallas Margarita Society, a member of the board of the Hoffen Foundation, and a member of the Viet Nam Helicopter Pilots Association. He was a good and true friend and was always the first to offer help to others in their time of need. He was Managing Director of Sterne Agee’s Dallas office at the time of his death. He will be greatly missed by everyone who was privileged to know him. A Memorial Service celebrating Steve’s life will be held at 12:30 PM, Monday, January 25, 2010 at Restland’s Wildwood Chapel in Restland Memorial Park. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the American Cancer Society of Dallas, or to Dallas Children’s Charities at www.dallaschildrenscharities.org.
