Steven Max Lewis' Obituary
LEWIS, STEVEN MAX Steven Max Lewis was born on October 16, 1955 in Sherman, Texas, and passed away on January 25, 2009 at age 53. Max graduated from J. J. Pearce High School in Richardson, Texas in 1974 and completed his education at North Texas State University. He was active in commercial real estate in Dallas for many years. Max competed and finished three IronMan triathlons in Hawaii in 1998, 1999, and 2002. Max was a loving father to his daughter, Audrey, and was always generous and kind to all his family and friends. His father, Robert Earl Lewis, Jr. preceded him in death. Max will be greatly missed by his mother, Inez Lewis, his daughter, Audrey Elizabeth Lewis, his sister, Sharon Lewis Layne and her husband, Bud Layne; his niece, Carrie Layne and Howard Brawdy; his niece, Sara Layne Smith, her husband, Justin Smith, and two children Aidan Layne Smith and Ava Caroline Smith; his niece Lindsay Layne Bland and her husband Brian Bland; and many dear friends. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, January 29 from 6:30-8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Restland Wildwood Chapel on Friday, January 30 at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Dallas, 4144 N. Central Expressway, Suite 750, Dallas, Texas 75204, or the charity of your choice.
