I am so sorry to hear of Sue's passing. She worked with me on our shared Dopson family history and I loved our late night conversations. Sue was a wonderful storyteller, and her writings about her beloved husband and sons were brilliantly done. I was honored to help her put together her writings into a little family book. I know that she loved her family very very much and delighted in the lives of her sons' families and their children and grandchildren. My thoughts and prayers are with you all, Jennifer Lesley Maxwell
Aunt Sue was such a loving person in all her relationships throughout her life. She and I were night owls and would talk for a couple hours or so in the middle of the night. We laughed a lot. She was such an interesting person. She and Mother were sisters with four children each. We had large and wonderful family gatherings. There are so many pleasant memories. She loved telling me a story of when I was a toddler. Apparently, I did not want to do what she said. She said I looked like Pebbles, shook my finger at her, and babbled some displeasure at her. She would laugh telling me how she could still imagine it. She and I were both happy that Mother named me after her. We shared our middle name “Sue”. Aunt Sue meant so much to so many. I feel blessed to have had all these years with her. She loved God and her family with all her heart. I will miss her dearly, but find comfort in her receiving her reward in Heaven. Goodbye for now, Aunt Sue Sunny
I'm so sorry for the loss of Sue. She and I were family. We did Genealogy together. I know you will miss her. Paula Perry Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
I am very fortunate to have had Aunt Sue in my life. She was funny and packed a lot of personality into that small frame. I loved listening to her and my mother (her sister) giggle over the silliest jokes. It would make me laugh, not at their jokes but because they were just so cute. As kids, me, my siblings and cousins would be scattered in the field behind her house and when it was time for dinner, she let out a very loud whistle and all eight of us came running. We knew that whistle. I followed her lead and would use that same calling card for the children in my family, though she was better at it than me. Aunt Sue was a true blessing and will be missed. Lovingly, Tammy
