Sue New's Obituary
Sue Dopson New passed away September 23, 2021 at the age of 90. Sue was a loving and loyal wife and widow to her husband Charles Edward New, a fiercely loyal and devoted mother to her sons Evan, Wayne, Robert, and Dan, and a beloved Grandmother/Grandmom/Honey to 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Larson and Estelle Dopson, her sister Freddie, her husband Ed, and her sons Evan, Robert, and Dan. She was survived by her son Kenneth Wayne New and all of the aforementioned grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and great-great grandchild.
Sue was also a published author. Introducing her first book, Had He Been A Stranger, was her proudest achievement and represented years of hard work. In addition to being a published author, she was an enthusiastic genealogist, a delightful storyteller, and she never missed an opportunity to tell someone about the Lord. Sue’s presence was a strong one and her absence will be felt by all.
