Ted, a long- time Dallas resident was born in Posadas Misiones, Argentina to Jose and Luisa Figueredo on May 20, 1933. He married Maria Aurora Delgado on Oct. 31, 1970. Ted came into the United States in 1968. Ted worked for the service industry over 40 years and never missed a day. His hobbies were watching soccer, gardening, and being with his family. He loved to spend time with his daughters and grandchildren. He also took the opportunity to travel. He was a devoted man to his family and respected within his community. Ted was a husband, father, brother, friend and however you knew him; he was a no non-sense hard working, straight, forward man. He told you his opinion whether you liked it or not. But he did it out of love. His favorite saying was “So What!” He came to this country with nothing and built a beautiful life for himself and his family. He had a beautiful wife, Aurora, and his two daughters Gladys Luisa and Christine Aurora. He also loved his grandkids and son-in-law’s Brian and Michael. Ted was full of wonderful stories about his life in Argentina and his triumphs and struggles in coming to America. We will miss his wisdom and insights on life greatly. Ted is survived by his wife and longtime best friend Maria Aurora, daughter Gladys Leake and husband Joel Brain Leake, daughter Christine Norman and husband Michael Norman, grandchildren Victoria, Alexander, and Christopher Leake and his sister Lina Hierro and by Many nieces and nephews. Ted was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He will sincerely be missed by his loving family, friends and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved him.
