My deepest sympathies on his loss. We was a kind man with a profoundly generous heart who spent his life bringing joy, compassion, and service to others.
He loved every minute of it. He will always remain for me the example of what a great veterinarian was and should be of all the veterinarians I worked with over the years. He truly loved the animals AND enjoyed the relationships he built with each and every client over the decades.
His presence will be missed but his memory will be so very well kept by so many. His was a life well lived and his rest is well deserved and will be full of the love of all those he shared his life with so generously.

I have only known Dr. Perkins for the last 2 to 3 years but it feels like a lifetime in my heart. We had met him and Kelley at our regular Friday night restaurant. He said something very sincere about how God puts certain people in our lives at certain times and what a gift that was. So, I got up to walk around the table to give him a hug and he started yelling...RAPE!!!! Oh my Lord, the whole place looked over at us like we were crazy and that just made us laugh more. I will really miss him and that laugh. What a great man!
