Thomas T. Barnhouse, Born October 8, 1923 in Austin, Texas and passed away in Richardson, Texas on March 24,2016. A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday March 29 at Richardson Church of the Nazarene, 11:30 am. Visitation will be Monday March 28, 6-8 pm at Restland Funeral Home. He was preceded in death by wife, Gloria Davis Barnhouse and son, Robert Lee Barnhouse . He is survived by (wife) Marilyn Nelson Barnhouse, (daughters )Bonny Hrubiak (Dan), Cynthia Lawrence, (step-daughters) Dianne Moe (Don), Robin Case (Barry) ,Katy Wilcox (Michael), (Grandchildren) Nathan Lawrence, Natalie Lawrence, Joseph Barnhouse, Thomas Barnhouse(Deanna), (step-grandchildren) Britta Moe (Fabio), Colin Moe (Olenka) Jenea Thomas (Chase), Kelsey Case, Tyler Case, (great grandchildren) Gentry Thomas & Lukas Moe, and (Brother) James Barnhouse (Carol). Tom practiced law in Dallas and Richardson for 68 years. During his career he worked with Bernard Golding, Martin& Black and the Estate Trust Company. He was a corporate attorney for Sears Roebuck and Co. and Wyatt Cafeterias, Inc. He practiced estate planning law in Richardson from 1989 until he officially retired in 2015. He was a veteran of WWII and served as a lieutenant on the Destroyer USS Guest and received 5 Asiatic Pacific battle stars. When remembering Tom you will recall his love of technology and reading as well as spending time at his lake cabin in Mexia. He enjoyed many memorable family vacations. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Museum of the Pacific War, Fredericksburg, Texas or Compassionate Ministries, Richardson Church of the Nazarene, Mission Arlington, The Olympia Union Gospel Mission, Olympia W A.
