I have known Tom for many years at First United Methodist Church of Dallas. He was such a fine man whom I have admired very much as well as his wife, Pat, and children Diane and son Gib. He had many friends and will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Giddens,My name is Alice Lara and I'm not sure if you remember me but I am the lady That worked at the cleaners in the Lakewood Shopping Center that your father frequented for many years. I am so sad to know that he has passed. He was a beautiful man and your parents for always the bright spot in my day. They were such a joy to spend even just a few moments with them. Your father had come in one day and asked how I was doing and I told him I had been robbed and had been manhandled by the robbers but that God would help me get over it. And I asked him how he was and he started to cry and said that your mom that passed away. I was heartbroken for him and he asked if he could come in every day and just bring a shirt in and just talk and help pass his days and I said absolutely yes. He would stay a while each time and the other customers would enjoy speaking with him. I will never forget your parents they were just beautiful beautiful people. I feel blessed to have had them in my life. May they rest in peace forever in the Lord's presence and may God bless all of you and comfort all of you always
