Pam, Bill and families: Thomas was such a special uncle to me! Thomas was about ten years old when I was born. He would keep me a lot when Mother and Daddy would need a sitter, I use to kid him about bossing me around all the time. Such a sweet, loving, Christian man! Roland and I visited him just before Christmas, we will remember that time with him. Thomas knew that I loved him and I tried to remember to tell him each time I talked or saw him. We have known Tom and his family since we moved to Richardson in 1965. He was always a good friend and neighbor who was willing to help when he could. I remember Tom as a good Christian man who always tried to do what was right. He took good care of his family and also his lawn and spent many hours working outside. He had a green thumb and was also a good cook. He will be greatly missed.

Dear Thomas, I will miss our phone calls and I have very good memories about you. Thank you for the ways you cared. Although you?re my uncle, you?re like a brother and a friend to me. I?ll never forget how you would call my mother ?Sister? and I?m glad you?re with Grandma again and the rest of the family. Thomas Worthy was the kindest person, with such a gentle, loving spirit. It was always a privilege to talk to him and hear him tell a story, of which he had SO many about our family. He had a special bond with his cousins – my mother, Mary Helen, and her siblings. They thought of him as their own brother, I think. — They must be having their own family reunion in heaven right now! I'll miss not hearing his voice again or having the chance to call or visit him to ask some more about a bit of Worthy history. I enjoyed the handful of visits I've had with him at his home during the past 20 years. Wish I could have had just 1 more. God definitely 'broke the mold' when he made Thomas William Worthy!
