Tommie Joe Bickle was born on April 24, 1936, in Garland, Texas to the parents of William Ossie Bickle and Gladys King Bickle and passed away on November 24, 2016, in Yantis, Texas. He was 80 years old. Tommie retired from Rockwell Collins after 35 years of service. Following retirement, he started a new career in the heating and air conditioning services business. Tommie became a charter member of First United Methodist church Sachse in 1986 where he was a faithful servant. He loved racing cars, hunting, fishing and watching NASCAR and he was very proud of the 1957 BelAir convertible he owned for many years. Tommie had a “green thumb” and grew wonderful vegetables that he shared with friends. And he especially loved riding his John Deere lawn mower over his property as often as he could. Tommie loved and spoiled the many dogs, cats and goats he had throughout his life. In addition to his wife, Donna, of almost 40 years, Tommie is survived by his son Darin, his wife Holley and grandson Seamus and his daughter Deidre and her husband Matt. The family will receive friends on November 29, 2016, at the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home from 11:30AM-12:30PM followed by a funeral service beginning at 12:30PM in the Wildwood Chapel. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
