Aunt Veta was my second mom, they lived 8 blocks from us, so we were always at one another’s house. Deer lease, Thanksgiving dinners, and family reunions will always be a part of my memory. Her and uncle John were our Scout leaders for as long as we were in the program. Her cooking and her love to serve was her passion. I enjoyed calling her every year for her birthday, since her birthday was one day after mine. Until we meet again, we will cherish her memories.

My favorite memory of Aunt Veta is either in the deer lease cook shack or any kitchen making sure we had the best food ever. Still use her Banana Pudding recipe she gave me; best banana pudding ever just ask my kids.
