Virginia Ann Schneider's Obituary
Born March 27, 1927 in Dayton, Ohio and passed away August 23, 2009 in Plano, Texas. Virginia was a woman devoted to her family; she enjoyed needle work, camping, travel, cooking and square-dancing. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Virginia is preceded in death by her husband, Lester; as well as her parents, Alvin and Anna Menker. Survivors include her son, Dave Schneider of Pittsburg, TX; daughter, Susan Walton of Flint,TX; grandchildren, Jamie Roberts, David Schneider Jr, Kelly Silman, Kristy Schneider and Michelle Barba; great-grandchildren, Maddison, Kaylee and Kolter Kash; sisters, Freida Backs, Marilyn Schmitmeyer; brothers, Laverne Menker, Norman and Eugene Menker; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until 1:30 pm, Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at Restland Funeral Home. A service will be held in Virginia’s honor following visitation at 3:00 pm, Wednesday, August 26, 2009 in Restland’s Wildwood Chapel, with interment to follow in Restland Memorial Park, Veteran’s Garden II.
