Walter “Walt” Henry Lindley, age 61, died October 30, 2015, after a battle with cancer. Walt is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Katherine Wholaver and his son, Christopher Ryan Lindley. He is survived by his daughter, Stepha Read Obituary
Walt and I had several memorable conversations. He was a good man who loved his family as a man should, completely. We shared stories about our children, and I can say we had a lot in common when it came to our love for our families. Everyone passes from this earth, and Walt will be missed by the folks that were blessed enough to know him. Rest in peace my friend.

I just recently heard the news of Walter. I knew him 40 years ago, he was a friend of my sister 's ex husband Eddie Phillips. He was always so nice to me and although I had not been in contact all these years, I'll never forget his kindness. God Bless You, my old friend.
Walt was my roommate when we worked on the road for several years. Walt always made being away from home a little more tolerable. We had some good laughs. Most of the time I was in charge of the cooking, and Walt was in charge of the Miller Lite. It was always good to hear from him over the years and I will miss picking up the phone to check in on my friend. God Speed.

We have known Walt for close to 40 years and he was like family to us He and Ricky worked together for years in the mechanic business and even the overhead door business for a while. He was a true friend and even after years of not seeing or talking on a regular basis, it was like time never passed when you did get to talking again. Walt was one of my closest and dearest nephews. He was more like a son to me instead of a nephew. We shared a lots of traits in common, such as liking to work with our hands and both loved carpenrty. Some even say we looked a lot like each other. I will miss him as I would a son. I can still feel his strong hugs and hear his voice as he always said "I love you uncle Ron" My heart is so sadden.
