Wanda Pauline Vaughan's Obituary
Wanda Pauline Vaughan was born on November 22, 1928 in Grand Saline, Texas and passed away February 18, 2017 in Dallas, Texas. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Addie Mae Beeker; mother, Lea Grady; father, John R. Benson; sister, Bobbie Roberts; ex-husband, Truett L. Vaughan; and her beloved dog Penny, as well as several lifelong dear friends. Wanda is survived by her treasured daughter, Tracy Lea Hunt and her cherished granddaughter, Taylor Lea Hunt; ex son-in-law, Jason Hunt; cousins and dear friends. Her hobbies included: yard work, bird watching, word find and crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, shopping, spending precious time with her daughter and granddaughter; watching her favorite TV shows. She was a lifetime dog lover and her favorite flowers were Bluebonnets and roses, although, she loved all blooming plants just like her mother did. Wanda graduated from Grand Saline High School; Draughon’s Business College/Dallas; Secretary for El Chico Main Office/Dallas; Executive Secretary for the Vice President of Universal Carloading/Dallas – 14 years; retired from Girl Scout Council of Dallas after 10 years. The family wishes to thank all their family and dear friends for their love, support, thoughts and prayers. The service for Wanda Vaughan will be held at 12:30 PM, Tuesday, February 28, 2017 in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the SPCA of Texas.
