Lynn and I grew up on Waverly St. in the Houston, Heights. Lynn and his family lived in the 1200 block and my family lived at 1301 Waverly about 5 houses apart. Don't think a day went by in the mid-fifties to the early 60's that we did not see each other. He was a great friend and he will be missed but his and his family memories will be with forever. My deepest condolences to the Hendrick family for their loss. I did not have the honor to meet Weldon Lynn, but have worked for several years with his son, Chris, and I'm proud to know such a great individual, with strong faith, family and professional values which I'm sure are a direct reflection of his father's character and teachings. My prayers and those of my colleagues at the Collinson Group are with Chris, his family and friends.

Audrey, the many memories we have of all the years with Lynn at DDI will never fade. We were on so many trips with both of you and enjoyed them so much. He was such a great salesman for DDI and a joy for Don to work with. We wanted so much to come to the retirement party last month and just couldn't. Don talked with Lynn twice. Lynn?s death was such a shock. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Hendrick family as you adjust to this great loss. Lynn was my cousin and cousins are often our first friends, as it was with the two of us. Lynn will be missed by all who knew him and his big handsome smile. Rest well in the arms of our Lord. I've had the distinct pleasure of knowing Lynn for 25 years and I can honestly and respectfully say that the person he was, the reputation he enjoyed, his willingness to listen, to be helpful yet humble, and his sincere interest in others never changed. He "set the bar" professionally in terms of his success for sure, but even more so set that same bar for how and who someone should be. There's a saying that "heaven roars when a special soul enters" – I can only imagine the welcome that Lynn received and deservedly so! My earliest memories are of going to Bethany Oklahoma when his son Chris was born. I was very young but remember that he had a Plymouth Road Runner with he beep beep horn which I loved and it kept me entertained to everyone elses annoyance. Later he had an LT1 Camaro that was incredibly fast. When my family would visit he would take me for rides. Many times it was the first time I had been that fast in a car and definitely was with him the 1st time I ever went over 100 mph. Those are some very fond memories for me and he helped foster my love of fast cars at a very early age. Uncle Lynn was highly successful in his career and I greatly looked up to him as a man and in his profession . When I went to college I chose my major as Marketing because I wanted to be like Uncle Lynn and get into a professional sales career like his. Looking back over the last 50 years as his nephew I think he did so well because of his wonderful personality, sense of humor, honorable character and intelligence. and It did not hurt that he was willing to play golf anywhere anytime with anybody. Somewhere in heaven Uncle Lynn is driving his dream car with his favorite set of clubs in the back, headed to a dream course to play golf with family and friends who got to heaven before him. He will be sorely missed here by everyone that knew him but I know we will meet again on the other side and that helps sooth the pain of the loss somewhat. We have known Lynn for close to 30 years. We have shared with him our love for Chris, our daughter Tara and our wonderful grandchildren. So many of the exceptional qualities Chris has were inherited from his dad. Lynn was a true gentleman, a true friend and a truly amazing granddaddy. We are so grateful for so many fond memories.
