Weldon Lynn Hendrick's Obituary
Weldon Lynn Hendrick was born on October 7, 1944 in Houston, Texas passed away October 31, 2016 in Dallas, Texas. Lynn was a wonderful husband, parent, granddaddy, friend, volunteer, coach, mentor and “best man” who was loved by everyone who knew him. He was always one to help those in need with a heart as big as Texas. He was extremely proud of his American, Czech and Texan heritage. Lynn had a natural competitive fire that made him successful in almost everything, including baseball, basketball, golf, sales, raising horses . . . children . . . and even dogs. He spent 49 years with the same company and had just retired was very much looking forward to spending time traveling with his wife visiting with friends and spending time with his grandchildren. Lynn will be incredibly missed by all his friends and family! He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Weldon and Lydia Hendrick. Weldon is survived by his wife of 49 years, Audrey Gale Hendrick; his son and daughter-in-law, Christopher Lynn and Tara Leigh Hendrick; his daughter, Tara Nicole Spacek; his grandchildren Caroline Spacek, Preston Hendrick, Rachel Spacek and Liv Hendrick; his sister and brother-in-law Carmen and Rick Eiserman; and his brother, Randall Hendrick. The service for Weldon Hendrick will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 5, 2016 in The Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: SmileTrain (smiletrain.org) – helps children who suffer from untreated cleft lips and/or cleft palates, World Cranial Facial Foundation (worldCF.org) – healing children’s faces throughout the world, Arnie’s Army (arniesarmy.org) – Arnold Palmer hospital for children, SPCA of Texas (spca.org) – Because dogs are awesome.
