Curtis Brown was my father’s (Rex Beasley) very best friend growing up and into adulthood. I fondly remember Curtis and Sarah at our home on the corner of Colgate and Baltimore when my brother, Ronny, and I were little. Dad and Mother (Dorothy) loved having them over.
I was recently reminded of Curtis when someone at Northpark asked me (I’m an early morning NP walker) if I knew about the health of Curtis Brown, who used to walk there, also. I asked some questions, and discovered it was the very same Curtis I had known, but I hadn’t recognized him when he was walking. Oh, how I wish I had.
Curtis was a lovely man, and I’m grateful to have known him so many years ago.
