I know how much Kim honors Fathers for she spoke of hers often. And her kindness and thoughtfulness was very important to my father. So may your father's memory be a blessing.

Dave was a very special man. I had the good fortune to be the teacher to his three grandchildren.
Every day the class and I studied a new word. Dave also was a lifelong learner and asked for the website. Frequently he would send me a note about the word. There were a few occasions when he asked how I was going to introduce a word that really wasn’t appropriate for the students. Those were the days I would use a word from the past or something fun. His approval was welcomed.
My heart goes out to Millie and Kim as well as the entire family.
Dave was a kind, intelligent man, who I was privileged to have know through neighborhood activities. He will be missed.
With condolences to Millie, Kim, and the family,
Carol
We had the pleasure of meeting Dave and Millie in California on one of their many special visits here. What a fantastic couple and what a full life Dave lived! During every visit it was evident he loved his wife, daughter and grands so much. No words could ever express how saddened we are by his passing. We love the Steere family very much and feel lucky to have most recently spent Dave’s 80th bday with all in 2017, as well as, a holiday celebration in 2019 with our mutual special friends including The Steere’s, The Tonsfeldt’s, The Missan’s and The Grays. Always loved seeing the many pictures Kim sent us of their visits together. We share in your sorrow Millie and Kim and treasure our memories of a very special husband, dad, grandfather and friend to us. May you forever see his smile and find solace in the wonderful life he created for your family.
With much love to Millie and Kim and the entire Harrison/Southers/Steere Families,

I was 27, travelling through Europe, and in December of 1975 found myself in Germany, looking for some way to get through the winter with a roof over my head. I interviewed with Dave for a job as a salesman and went to work for Comex the following month. I was quickly welcomed into the family that Dave had made of his work colleagues. I ended up working with him for 25 years. I will never forget those years and the relationship we developed. He will live on forever in my mind and in my heart.
We met Dave and Millie through our children. We celebrated our grandchildrens' graduations and many Christmas' through the years. We so enjoyed our times together and always looked forward to seeing him. He will be greatly missed.

I will always remember the kindness and gentleness with which Dave spoke to me. He was always easy to approach, gladly answered questions, and never seemed hurried or distracted. But the kindness is what flowed through his voice.
We have lost a good man! He was my boss, mentor and a very dear friend. We shared a lot of travels together thoughout the US, Europe and Japan over the years and always had a great time. He always looked out for other people before himself. I knew that when I had a problem I could trust his advice because he always put me first.
If it wasn't for Dave letting me take some extra trips to Japan in 1993 I probably wouldn't have been able to develope my relationship with my wife Ryoko who was living in Japan. If we didn't get married we wouldn't have had our daughter Rachel. So he was very instrumental in helping create our family.
My dear friend I will miss you but you will always be in my heart and memories.
