Richard is such a blessing to all that knew him, to us his chikdren, but most of all to our Mom who always says " He's my Best Friend, sometimes annoying, but always her Best Friend ". I loved to watch their funny bantering with each other. I will always remember him for his love of cooking and great wit, so many times he would zing me in a good and funny way, only to leave me scratching my head, quickly turning back toward him only to find him giggling with me at his "Gotcha" moment in a way only he could. There are so many stories like this to share and will share in the future, this is his great gift and legacy given to me, he will never be forgotten but will live on thru these wonderful storys and memories. I consider myself lucky, blessed and a better person having had him in my life.

My wife Martha and I cherished our close, loving friendship with Richard for some forty years. Many fun times were had enjoying tennis, bridge, social gatherings, and conversations with him.

Richard was a gentleman's gentleman: courteous, kind, generous, with a wry wit and sense of humor. As a husband, he was devoted, faithful, and loving. As a father, he was "there." As a friend, we knew he was a phone call away and could be counted on.

We were blessed having known him. He will be missed.
