William Earle Thompson passed away in route to Methodist Hospital in Richardson Texas after falling at home on May 22, 2020. He is survived by his mother, Janis; his two brothers, Greg and Glen; his sister-in-law, Teresa; his neph Read Obituary
I was sad to hear that Will had passed. Will and I were part of a group of several boys in the neighborhood who hung out together. He loved to be funny and crazy and had a quick wit. He was always cracking jokes and making people laugh. He would also set you straight if you complained too much. One time, I remember going on and on about something I didn’t like and Will got tired of hearing about it and said well it doesn’t like you either. His statement sort of stunned me, but it caused me to rethink what I was saying.
The neighborhood guys all enjoyed rock music and would get together for jam sessions in Tim’s garage. Will practiced a lot and became an impressive guitarist. One time while in high school he grew his hair out and had it permed. With his long blond curly hair and his guitar, he looked like a rock star. Another time he decided to cut his hair, but he couldn’t reach the back of his head so he just cut everything up front. He had a huge tuft of wild blond hair in the back, but it was all cut short in the front. It was the craziest looking mullet I’d ever seen.
I rarely got to see him after moving out of state, but the times we had growing in the neighborhood are memories I hold dear.
Good bye bud. I will miss you and the times we shared. Praying for Janis, Glen and Greg.

All of our hearts are broken, and we will miss you dearly. But despite all the ups and downs, all of the struggling, and the intense pain you endured, you pushed through and showed us how much strength one person can be capable of with God's help. We are indescribably proud of you. Say hi to Hannah from all of us.
P.S. Thank you for all the fun memories, the trips to B&N, the encouraging phone calls, and always ending them by saying "I love you" first. Now comes the time to switch those roles. I love you Uncle Will, always.

Will was a fraternity brother of mine at Texas A&M. I am sad to hear of his passing. He was a good man who was very much loved. He will be greatly missed. Chris Saenz
