Cliff Wood was my first cousin. He was 12 years older than me, but since our fraternal grandmother lived with us , we saw him often, My husband and I moved back to the Dallas area 3 yrs ago and started meeting Bill at the Mexican food Restaurant that was on I 20 in Arlington. When Bill quit driving and moved to Castle Rock we drove over there and took him to eat a couple of times. When covid hit my husband and I were not able to get out, I developed an infection and was ill for a year and am still on antibiotics. I was om IV antibiotics for 14 weeks and not able to do anything and spent most of my time sleeping, Somehow I lost Bills cell # and did not feel up to looking for it and for some reason several #s disappeared off my phone, If any of his family sees this please get in touch with me, We were in Sunnyvale for his daughters funeral. at annetx2u@aol.com. He was my favorite cousin and we loved to here him play the guitar,

Mr. Wood was my favorite patient. I absolutely adored him. He was always so kind to everyone. He would bring us candy when he came for his appointments. He would make sure he brought something special just for me. Junior Mints will forever remind me of him. I always looked forward to his visits. He had the most beautiful blue eyes and soft hands. He will be missed!

Brother Wood was raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason at Edwin J. Kiest Lodge near Casa Linda in 1956. He was an honorable Freemason for nearly 65 years, members have fond memories of him and recall his Service, Devotion and Care for his Fraternal Brothers and Lodge. Condolences, faith and hope to his family and friends.

Bill Wood was a great person whom we met at South Arlington Church of Christ where we worshipped. He loved going to the Golden Corral and Denny’s for breakfast. When Golden Corral honored the vets in November we would go to the there every year to enjoy the meal and company. He was a very good friend. and we’ve enjoyed each other company. He will be missed, and know he is in the arms of Jesus and in a better place. Due to circumstances we will not be able to attend the wake or funeral. In lieu of flowers and plants, we will be sending a contribution to the Veterans Memorial in memory of Bill Wood.
