William Clifford Wood's Obituary
Mr. William C. Wood, "Bill", was born at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, Texas on May 10, 1933 to Lora and Clifford L. Wood. Mr. Wood graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1950. After High School, Mr. Wood worked for Paramount Pictures as a Motion Picture Film Booker prior to enlisting in the U.S. Army Reserves. PFC William C. Wood served with the 24th Infantry Division during the Korean Campaign and was deployed to Korea for two years. He received an honorable discharge in 1959.
Bill married Shirley Ann Wood on May 8, 1956. Bill and Shirley had two children, James Clifford Wood and Christi Kay Wood. Mr. Wood worked at United Artist Exhibition. Mr. Wood was a Master Mason at the Erwin J. Kiest #1310 Lodge in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Wood and his family were active members at the Lake June Road Methodist Church in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Wood retired from United Artist Exhibition and worked at the Plaza of Americas Hotel in Downtown Dallas from 1982 until he retired from there in 2004.
Mr. William C. Wood is preceded in death by his parents, Lora and Clifford L. Wood, his wife Shirley Ann Wood, his son Dr. James Clifford Wood, his daughter Christi Kay Wood Jenkins and his grandson Brice James Wood. Mr. Wood is survived by his daughter-in-law Phyllis Louise Wood, his son-in-law Scot Inman Jenkins and wife Diana Jenkins, his grandchildren Kathryn Wood Cochran, Louis Clifford Wood, Meredith Lane Jenkins, William Charles "Chas" Jenkins, his great grandchildren Zachary Clifford Cochran, Andrew Blackwell Cochran, Kayden Scot Jenkins and Madeline Christie Jenkins.
