Jeanette, beautiful service that shared Willie Mae’s spirit! I always felt welcomed at your home and looked up to your parents and Sheridan...she was the older college person! I thought so cool as a UT graduate!
I especially had the privilege of enjoying Willie as an adult! I have the best memories of her watching over my finances at college for my mom! She helped my mom and me from over drawing my account!
She was a special Mom!! It meant so much to me to be with her as an adult! Thank you for including me in your life!!!!

Willie Mae was a unique gift along with Sam, Jeanette, and Sherian to our family. Although not blood related their love and our good times growing up could not have been stronger. Not too many folks can say their parents grew up together and in two different states. WWII brought my Dad and Sam to Texas where they were eventually met with my Mom and Willie Mae. The rest is history! Such cherished memories too many to mention.
Along with my late sister Pam, Willie Mae's memory will forever be in my heart.
Our entire family loved Willie Mae!! She was like a second mother to me as I had known her since I was 7. She was Jeanette's (my best friend) mother, our Brownie leader and so much more! We would talk and visit over the years to come. She would bless myself and our youngest son, Joshua in so many ways. I loved talking to her over the phone or coming to see her whenever we visited Dallas. We will always thank the Lord for the special lady that she was and will miss her. But we know she is safe in the arms of Jesus and we rejoice in the celebration of her life and home going.

I am going to miss seeing and talking with Willie. In the past few years I had the privilege of spending some time with her. We had some wonderful conversations about the old days at PB&T, trying to remember all those we had worked with and the good times at those salad suppers. Of course talking about our children but mostly our grandsons. Even though she struggled physically her mind was as sharp as ever.
