Short, Willie Ray born December 18, 1929 in Dallas, TX and passed away June 20, 2015 in Dallas, TX. Willie was a Graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and SMU with a BBA. He was a respected home builder and developer as well as a Dallas county reserve deputy sheriff with 33 years of service. Preceded in death by his wife, Bernadine, his mother Annie Mae and his father, Raymond. Survived by his 3 sons, Gerald Lynn, Willie Ray Jr.; Robert Alan. His sister, Barbara Ann, his grandson, Joel Cameron, his granddaughter, Gianetta Rae and his beloved dog “Mr. Whiskers”. Family will receive friends on Thursday, June 25, 2015 from 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held Friday, June 26, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Restland Memorial Park.
