I am so grateful and blessed I had the opportunity to know Eugene as a coworker and a friend. He was very kind, helpful, supportive, sensible, witty, and so funny. I don't recall having a conversation with Eugene where I wasn't laughing or smiling during or immediately after our conversation no matter how short the conversation was. I felt like he was always there for me. Even when he knew I was coming to ask him to approve work for me, he always, and I mean always, greeted me with a smile and would make me feel like he was happy to help me. Talking with Eugene always made everything alright. I will miss stopping by his desk on the way to a company-sponsored event to see if he wanted to walk down together. I will also miss how we would tell each other when there was free desserts. : ) Even at home, I would share funny or interesting moments Eugene and I had, especially with my daughter since she met him at a professional event we attended. I will miss Eugene greatly, for he has left an impression on me and set an example for friendship, kindness, and human decency.
