Zeke Ledesma's Obituary
Angel E, Ledesma of Carrollton, Texas born 12/11/78 in Lansing Michigan to Gilbert Ledesma and Jane-Ledesma passed away on 1/8/26.
Angel was known by most as Zeke. His love for life was displayed best by the way he lived every day of his life. He lived a faith-based life, with an undeniable love for his family, perseverance to do all he set his mind to with creativity, humor, and an unshakable love for life.
Zeke obtained his master's degree in business administration, with dreams of becoming a lawyer and completed his first year of law school. He sacrificed that dream so his wife could stay home and raise their 3 children. Zeke concentrated on building his IT skills and became an expert in SQL. He worked for McKesson Corp and Norwegian Cruise Lines. He
became an expert at fixing anything tech related.
Zeke’s love for his family was captured in the memories created during the time he spent with them over the years. When his kids were very young, he took them everywhere to Yo Gabba Gabba Live! He didn't take them to just one show, he took them to multiple shows across the country gaining the name given by the tour host “The Super Gabba Family," introducing his toddlers to his love for live music planting a seed that would become part of his legacy.
Zeke encouraged and supported his wife and children to explore their interests in arts and sports. Zeke’s love for sports was displayed for his undeniable loyalty of the Detroit Pistons and the Detroit Lions. He was a forever Detroit sports fan.
Zeke was always eager to do what can be done today,
today. Zeke’s favorite persuasive saying was "Tomorrow is not promised" that became his motto that challenged everyone around him. Zeke pushed himself to take the moment and make the most of it. Every sunrise was special to Zeke, and he never missed an opportunity to sit on the beach and relish the beauty of each new day.
Zeke was offered a job while vacationing in Florida. That vacation turned into 9 beautiful beach filled years living in Miami Beach with his wife and children. He wanted to enjoy beach life while he was young enough to play with his children and give them a childhood they would cherish.
Always a dreamer who wasn't afraid to take his dreams a step into reality. From ambitions to becoming a pro boxer, he trained like a pro, gaining the interest of Mike Tyson who became a supporter of Zeke’s battle. Stepping ing into the world of acting, Zeke took every opportunity given him, appearing in web series, music videos, extras in several miniseries including FX’s Versace, landing him the chance of a lifetime to stand in for Al Pacino in the Irishman.
Zeke is proceeded in death by his mother, Jane-Leal-Ledesma, first wife and stepson, Renee Ledesma and Hector Medina, grandparents, uncles AL, Tony and Gilberto Leal.
Zeke's love for music and his passion for giving a voice to the replaced or forgotten, led him to promote live music events alongside his wife Kathy and I Love Freestyle Music Tour was born. Zeke came into the music scene and shook up the norm, giving opportunity for artists, making certain they have a stage to perform on.
Rise Against Cancer and I love the 80's Music Festival, will forever be remembered as Zeke's introduction to the concert scene. In his larger-than-life way, one live show wasn't enough for the weekend; he insisted on two.
The most important to Zeke was his love for the Lord, his family and leading others to know Jesus. His faith never wavered. He attended Victory Outreach Dallas with his mom during his youth and made many lifelong friends who continued to pray for his healing.
Zeke raised his children to know Jesus and guided them in their Christian walk from the time they were young children. Zeke attended Covenant Church (Collyville and Carrollton) with his family. During the years in Miami Beach, he attended from the beach, watching service online with a large speaker so everyone around could hear the message.
A vessel for God, he never forgot where his opprotnuties came from. Zeke left an impression on the hearts of those who knew him. He gave to the homeless and helped the less fortunate when the opportunity presented itself. He gave as he lived with a love for life that was unshakable.
Zeke is survived by his beloved wife of 19 years, Kathy Ledesma, 3 children, Angel E. Ledesma 11, Gilberto Ledesma, Kathy Ledesma, step children, Danny, Priscilla and Sarah, father and step mother Gilbert (Becky) Ledesma, Mother in law Helen Roderiquez, siblings Gilbert (Suzy) Ledesma, Cindy ( Dale) Singletary, Elicio Leal, Denise Ramirez, 5 nieces, 4 nephews, 7 great nieces, 8 great nephews and 2 great great nephews.
Forgiving others so that he would also be forgiven was his final example of living according to Gods word. Teaching his family by example what it meant to be the hands and feet of Jesus, until the very end.
Zeke lived his life led by Gods spirit. His philosophy of living life as he did was there long before illness invaded his body.
“We get one life; I want to LIVE each day of my life. We die once, when time stops, it’s over. Before my lights go out and am called home, I want the memories I leave behind to tell my story. I took risks and LIVED my life, I followed my dreams, I loved my family, while putting God first and leading souls to Jesus.” -Zeke
Zeke will be missed and never forgotten. His legacy will live on in the company he built, the friendships he made, and the family he leaves behind; we will carry love
for him in our hearts forever!
